Le cabinet d’architectes Zuo a pensé un bâtiment de 68 chambres. VISUEL GROUPE CALIFORNIA
The Agathoise company California Group, headed by Hervé Van Twembeke, is investing 8 million euros at the exit of the A9 motorway.
Everything is speeding up at the Héliopôle business park in Bessan. Well, let's say, twelve years after the launch of the project and many twists and turns, but the construction of the new Intermarché and the adjoining commercial units (Action, Picard, Biocoop, Mc Donalds, etc.) opens the door to other investments, which were just waiting for that.

This is the case of the 68-room B&B hotel, which will open its doors in spring 2026. Already the owner of the 5-star Oz’Inn hotel, in the naturist village of Cap d’Agde and the Mercure (4 stars) located near the golf course, Agathois Hervé Van Twembeke is investing 8 million euros in this new facility, the building of which was designed by the Zuo architectural firm. A positioning in the “economic” class for this three-star hotel, able to meet the expectations “of a varied clientele. We will not only have family rooms for 4 to 6 people, but also more classic rooms for passing customers who will stop near the motorway, without forgetting business customers, who will find everything they need here.” An adjoining restaurant, a bar with musical evenings, but also eight coworking spaces that can accommodate up to 50 people will be offered to nomadic workers. “We designed this hotel as a meeting place”, adds the boss of the California group, who says he is “very enthusiastic, because this commercial area will benefit from phenomenal momentum, with many quality projects.”
An opening planned for spring 2026
At the crossroads between the A9 and the A75, Béziers, Agde and Pézenas, Héliopôle will be a sort of real motorway service area… without the high prices. As for the hotel, the first earthworks began at the end of November. “The crane will be on site during the month of January”, announced Hervé Van Twembeke. “There are six months of structural work and six, seven months for the finishing work and the fittings.” Enough to prepare to fine-tune the marketing of the establishment.
