An agreement that allows the City of Nîmes to support community medicine

Une convention a été signée ce jeudi 12 décembre en matinée en mairie.

This Thursday, at the town hall, the City signed a one-year renewable agreement with the Nemausa Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS). “It is about supporting, accompanying multi-professional health centers, improving the mental health of populations, anticipating the needs of populations.”

City medicine represents more than 1,500 professionals. The CPTS Nemausa was created in 2022, with the City, which made it possible to have a single point of contact in order to implement the areas of work developed within the framework of the local health contract (with the Occitanie Regional Health Agency).

New doctors

The agreement makes it possible to develop the attractiveness of the area with the installation of new doctors, to act on the prevention of cancer, obesity in children. “This agreement remains an opportunity to strengthen our ties, to pool our resources and skills in the service of the health of the people of Nîmes, to salute the commitment and importance of city medicine in our health system”, explains Dolorès Orlay-Moureau, deputy delegate for Health, to Hygiene and Prevention of Health Risks.
