This Saturday, December 14, there are plenty of activities in Alès, in the Gard, at the start of the end-of-year holiday period. Thus, as has been the case for the past few days, in the city center, the Christmas market awaits its customers on the forecourt of the Le Cratère theater, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (it's a nighttime opening day). And in one of the small chalets, Santa Claus lets himself be photographed with the children or his family (for a fee) from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. At the same location, a show will be offered to the youngest, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. By the way, in the hall of the Cratère, a Christmas snack will be offered to the children around 4 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., a craft market (also Christmas), organized by the Vieil Alais association, is scheduled in the Grand’rue, rue de la République, and rue Jan-Castagno. On Place des Martyrs-de-la-Résistance, the synthetic ice rink is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (€2, skates provided).

The return of the parades and the little Christmas train

In the streets of the hyper-centre, a parade, enhanced by a meeting with Santa Claus, is expected at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. And this December 14 marks the return of the little Christmas train, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., leaving from Place Gabriel-Péri, to travel along the streets of Docteur-Serres, Saint-Vincent, Rollin, Taisson, de Beauteville, d’Avéjan, Salvador-Allende, Saint-Vincent and Boulevard Louis-Blanc.

Finally, the attractions of the funfair, installed on the fairground of Avenue Jules-Guesde, welcome the public again from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
