The great comeback of the BHNM, finally beaten
Already defeated the day before by Mérignac (26-31), Bouillargues (D2) finished in last position, beaten in the small final by Toulon (D1) after a match as intense as the final.
Trailing by five goals at half-time (10-15), the Gardoises made a comeback in the second half, thanks to Claire Scheid having rediscovered her efficiency (10 goals). The Bouillarguaises even took the lead ten minutes from the end (27-26, 57th). The Varoises finally respected the hierarchy, winning 32-30.
A successful first
For this first edition in the form of a test, success was at the rendezvous of this Occitanie Women's Tournament, both in terms of the development of the values of women's sport and the quality of the matches, on the Agora court.
Vice-president of the BHNM, Oliver Bessodes is satisfied and is already thinking about the future: “We organized this tournament two months ago with the support of the Occitanie Handball League and the LFH which communicated on its networks. I think we have met the challenge. On Monday, we will do a debriefing and will start organizing the 2025 tournament. We will make sure that it is an unmissable event in the Mediterranean, with financial support that we did not have this year.”
