The association's clothes swap.
Les Arènes d’Elles, a Nîmes association that works to help and support cancer patients, organized a clothes swap and a toy exchange in order to raise the funds needed to achieve their goals. Gaëlle, Laurine and Aurore, the association's driving forces, are supported in their activities by their husbands, family members and friends. “The idea of creating this association came to us during our participation in the Pink Ribbons trek in southern Morocco,” explain the three young women. We have had relatives and acquaintances who have been struck by breast cancer, and we wanted to help them. Then, later, we wanted to extend our help to all people affected by cancers other than breast cancer, both men and women.”

Without forgetting to point out that there is no age at which the disease can develop.” According to the organizers of the garage sale, “ the funds raised today, like all those we raise during initiatives of this type, are used to finance the needs of patients, during or after their treatment, in particular for the purchase of cosmetics or comfort substances intended to alleviate the undesirable effects induced by certain treatments. We also do sewing to make various accessories, such as heart cushions.” The organizers insist on the fact that “not all cosmetic or parapharmaceutical products on the market are appropriate. Those concerned often need advice when making their choice.”
Accompanied by their loved ones, Gaëlle, Laurine and Aurore tirelessly continue their noble activities in the service of others.
