Le maire de la Penne-sur-Huveaune, Nicolas Bazzucchi a été interpellé à son domicile et placé en garde à vue ce lundi 16 décembre 2024 pour des soupçons de viols et violences aggravées sur conjoint.

This morning around 6 a.m., Nicolas Bazzucchi was arrested by the police at his home on Boulevard Voltaire, a witness to the arrest told our colleagues.
The City Councilor de la Penne-sur-Huveaune was then taken to the town hall from which he emerged handcuffed. The 29-year-old elected official was placed in police custody on suspicion of rape and aggravated violence against a spouse, according to information from La Provence confirmed by the Marseille prosecutor's office.
Searches were carried out at his home and in the town hall buildings, our colleagues pointed out.
Nicolas Bazzucchi was elected mayor in March 2022, succeeding the communist Christine Capdeville.
