The young woman, aged 34, was elected Miss Martinique a few months earlier and it was under the eyes of Sylvie Vartan, president of the jury, that she was crowned. Following her coronation, she gave a series of interviews, including one in the columns of Télé-Loisirs. She first spoke about her physique, stating that she was aware of not being “the most beautiful” of the candidates competing to win the sash.
In the rest of this interview, Angélique Angarni-Filopon specified that she had always found herself more “pretty” than “beautiful”, adding that it was her charisma and her way of expressing herself that charmed the public and the jury. “That's perhaps what made the difference,” she said, before specifying: “And then, we don't necessarily choose the prettiest one, but the one that brings people together the most, probably.” Concerning the criticism she may receive, the new Miss France 2025 prefers not to take it into account, concentrating fully on her dream.

The opportunity for the new Miss France to make an important clarification. “But 34 is young. They say that the thirties are the best years, I confirm it to you”, she said.
