Christian Clavier is back in the cinema. In Jamais sans mon psy, released in theaters on December 11, the actor plays a doctor who discovers with horror that his future son-in-law, played by Baptiste Lecaplain, is a former patient. A comedy in which Christian Clavier finds a role of a stepfather in complete disarray. “As a matter of age, I am now being offered roles as pater familias (…) And it's funnier if there are frictions with the children”, notes the actor, before specifying: “Which is not the case for me in life”.

In addition to this comedy, Christian Clavier is also promoting the book Le Splendid par le Splendid, published last November by éditions du Cherche midi. A book co-written by Josiane Balasko, Michel Blanc, Marie-Anne Chazel, Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte and Bruno Moynot, in which the artists themselves tell the saga of the Splendid, fifty years after the troupe was born. A way for the seven actors to set the record straight.
“A lot of false thingshave been written about us, and this book finally re-establishes the truth. That is what pleases me”, explains Christian Clavier to Télé Magazine. “I also enjoyed reading the comments of others”. A book published a few weeks after the death of Michel Blanc, who died of anyaphylactic shock on October 3.

The opportunity for Christian Clavier to express himself on the way in which certain media covered the event. “BFMTV sent me 28 text messages three minutes after the announcement of his death”, the actor revealed. Then to indicate: “And relaunched me again and again. I doubt it is their duty to interfere in people's lives like this”.
The interpreter of Jérôme in Les Bronzés confides that she was devastated by the death of Michel Blanc. “I was devastated. I lost a member of my family, my real family, the one I chose. We lived together for ten years, glued to each other. And if we separated, we never left each other”, concludes Christian Clavier.
