The Gazelles travel to the north of Eastern Europe, to Klaipėda, this Wednesday, December 18, with a very comfortable lead in points.

A long trip with little at stake. The BLMA travels to Klaipėda (Lithuania), this Wednesday, to play its Eurocup round of 16 second leg, against the Neptunas. A trip without too much pressure since Lattes-Montpellier has already made a big difference in the first leg (96-60) and will therefore leave with a 36-point lead.

But it's a transfer that's quite costly in terms of energy. “The trip to Lithuania was boring when we played them in the group stage.”, explains coach Valéry Demory. “We're going there to try not to tire the girls out too much. We're leaving for three days with several stopovers.”

Ana-Suarez Utrero is not making the trip

A match that will take place without Ana-Suarez Utrero, left to rest and under infiltration, following a cyst on the knee.

With this match, the Gazelles could send a new signal to the competition in sight and in particular to the Turkish clubs. “They are the favorites, whether in the Euroleague or the EuroCup. We are like farmers, we don't have the same rules. Turkish teams don't pay taxes, they don't pay charges. It's still easier.”, believes the BLMA coach.
