He was one of the most unshakeable incarnations of the PAF morning shows. William Leymergie hosted Télématin on France 2 from 1985 to 2017. The secret of his longevity ? “He has never tried to be fashionable, so he is at peace, he will never go out of fashion”, according to his collaborator Nathanaël de Rincquesen, comments relayed by BFMTV two years before the main person concerned hung up his gloves.

Since September 2017, Sophie Davant's partner has been accompanying viewers during their lunch break. Broadcast on C8, the show William at noon presents itself as a “fun meeting […] to meet everyday needs always in a good mood”. Columnists and experts take turns on set to “make life easier” for the French at help with advice and good deals.

William Leymergie: the hard blow he will take in 2025

The bad news broke in the columns of the Parisien this week. “William's teams at noon! were informed of the end of C8's midday daily the closure of the channel, on February 28, 2025, the Parisian daily informs us in its edition of Wednesday, December 18.

The announced disappearance of the C8 channel would also threaten the future of TPMP. Cyril Hanouna is not giving up however. “ARCOM would like us to stopTPMP on February 28. We are working with the big bosses”, he has already announced on the set of his show.

Launched in September 2017, the show has never captivated the crowds. Since the start of the season, its audiences have nevertheless been slightly increase with 200,000 viewers and 2% audience share, compared to 177,000 on average the previous season (1.7%)”, reveals Le Parisien in the same article.

If the average age of television viewers rose &agrave 68 years old, “the (low) cost of this daily had finally managed to be amortized”. The former competitor of Jean-Pierre Pernaut has not (yet) officially reacted to the end of his activities on C8. We do not know on which channel the former star of France Télévisions will continue his career.
