The events took place in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande in Gironde, near Bordeaux. The victim, a 30-year-old disabled person, was housed without ventilation or windows in the laundry room of the couple's home, according to information from Le Figaro.

The victim was also sleeping on a daybed and had no lease or keys to the apartment. According to our colleagues, the couple who owned the apartment forced the victim out of the apartment when they went out. They also forced the victim to “stay at the table and watch them eat”, when he had no more money at the end of the month to feed himself.

His allowances for “rent”

In addition to his inhuman living conditions , the victim was being defrauded every month of her allowance for disabled adults (AAH). The couple, the 29-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman, had also opened a bank account in the victim's name where each month was collected “a rent of 600”. However, the latter did not have access to it and only had a bank card.

Arrested on Tuesday, December 17, the couple was taken into custody at view for “fraud to the detriment of a vulnerable person” and “submission to unworthy accommodation conditions” .
