200 packages stolen

The Orange police station thinks it has caught the thief of 200 packages since November. Karchers, household appliances, coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, toys, tablets, telephones… the loot found at his home during a search is enormous.

In total, more than four tons of objects were discovered at his home. The damage is estimated between 10,000 and 15,000 euros worth of packages. Added to this is the sum of 31,000 euros in cash.

Caught in the act

It was by analyzing the delivery man's travel time that the police caught the young man. Thanks to video surveillance cameras, he was finally caught red-handed: he was seen unloading packages from his delivery truck in the company of another man.

The latter is the suspect's cousin. He was also arrested. They are in custody. The police hope to return most of the packages to the rightful owners before December 24.
