Emilie Dequenne shared an adorable photo on her Instagram account this Friday, December 20. After announcing the recurrence of her cancer, she wanted to give rather reassuring news.

Emilie Dequenne's life was turned upside down in August 2023. She was on a film set when she realized that something was wrong. In just a few weeks, she would discover the unthinkable: Emilie Dequenne was suffering from a very aggressive cancer and she had to undergo a major emergency operation.  On December 1st, she was faced with Audrey Crespo-Mara that she confided the recurrence of this one. Enough to worry her fans and, this Friday December 20, she shared rather reassuring news. 

On her Instagram account, Emilie Dequenne published a picture in which she can be seen with her dog. A big smile on her lips, the caption of her publication warms the heart. “Me ? Happy to go home after a week in the hospital ? Nooooooooooo. Happy to find my household ? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Long live the little joys”, she simply wrote. If the period is not always easy for Emilie Dequenne, she prefers to dedicate herself to what is positive in her life.

Emilie Dequenne: “Unfortunately, çit’is not moving forward”

In April 2024, Emilie Dequenne confidedé having done a “complete rebroadcast” of his cancer.Good news which was short-lived since, on December 1st, it was in the show Sept à Huit that she revealed that her health was at its worst. “I was seeing my doctor to check the progress of the treatment and it turns out that unfortunately çit's not progressing”, she said before confiding in complete transparency:   “There is a part of my cancer that responds to it and another that doesn't respond to it, or even that progresses”.

Sad news for Emilie Dequenne who then laments: “The part that progresses is greater than the one that returns ;duit”. Thus, the latter had to undergo heavy treatment. &ldquo ;And here I am again left for the chemo that I had a little over a year ago, with even a small dose in addition of something new that, apparently he, will surprise the tumor”, she later specified. After a week of hospitalization, Emilie Dequenne seems to want to keep only the positive of this situation, insisting on the fact that it can only get better. 

Emilie Dequenne: “We only talk about remission”

During this interview, Emilie Dequenne had already explained that she had to be hospitalized for several days. She had notably mentioned her many physical after-effects.  “I'm going to losing my hair again…”, she lamented before adding: “And then the idea of ​​finding myself every three weeks for five days in the hospital…”. A complicated situation for the actress who had then implied that getting out of this hell would be almost impossible. We only talk about remission. We will never talk about cure”, she concluded.

When she found out she had cancer, Emilie Dequenne remembered thinking her life was over. “At the time my world collapses, I tell myself that I'm going to die… Instantly, I write my will”, she said. Before undergoing her first major operation, the actress imagined the worst and she took the lead. “At the time, I write wishes, little things that come to me, if something happened to me… On what I want, buried, not buried…”, she concluded.
