IN BRIEF

  • For our colleagues at Le Parisien, Renaud looked back on his tour that he just finished
  • And the singer revealed the worst memory he has in head
  • Indeed, the artist was kicked out of a plane in which he was sitting

&At 72, Renaud is still on stage. Since January 2023, he has embarked on a new tour, called Dans mes cordes. This Saturday, December 21, he closed this series of concerts at the Deauville casino. On this occasion, he was questioned by our colleagues at Parisien and confided in his next album: “I'm going to make my next album with violins, piano and accordion. I'm working on it, but I'm having a bit of trouble, it's difficult to release. Lack of inspiration. It will be my 17th album! I'd like to release it in early 2026…“, he declared very enthusiastically.

During this interview, Renaud also mentioned his best memory during this tour: “The first and last concert. Finding the audience again, with their singing and the strings, it was very strong”, he explained. “And the last one, because… I think there are surprises. I expect the worst,” he continued.

Renaud was forced to leave a plane he was on

However, there is indeed a much more difficult memory: “When I got kicked off the plane, because I was vaping”, he said. “I was going to sing in Canada and they dropped me off. The team left without me and Cerise. I'm banned from Air Canada,” he added. It must be said that his cigarette consumption remains the last addiction that the singer must fight.

Indeed, for his wife, nicknamed Cerise, Renaud has left his addiction to alcohol: “I've had several therapies to understand where my melancholy comes from. I'm in psychotherapy at the moment, the shrink is very nice, but she hasn't managed to find it yet. Neither have my friends. But it'll be fine“, he said in the columns of Paris Match.

His confidences on his addiction à the cigarette

But as far as cigarettes are concerned, the results are less encouraging: “I have eliminated cigarettes, I went from sixty a day to fifteen. I am addicted to the e-cigarette. And I have definitively stopped drinking alcohol for six months. I am a new man. I just have a problem with the muscles in my back, which forces me to sit down regularly”.

But for Cerise, the singer is determined to stop everything. With the love of his beautiful, the artist feels ready to wipe the slate clean of his addictions and move forward.
