An exhibition to see during your wanderings in the city's central market halls until January 15.
Nîmes Métropole, in partnership with the Gard Chamber of Agriculture, is showcasing its local farmers as part of the exhibition “Racines” au coeur de la terre, created by the artist Karima M, in the central aisles of the Nîmes market halls.

Above all, it is a spotlight through photographic portraits of seventeen farmers who shape and preserve the land of our agglomeration. This exhibition is the result of more than eight months of reflection and work initiated by photographer Karima Mohamed and supported by Nîmes Métropole.

This exhibition is a vibrant tribute to those who feed us, these portraits capture the passion, resilience and know-how of these women and men who cultivate our local identity. Each photo tells a story, a commitment that is forged day after day to protect and promote our agricultural heritage.
The exhibition “Roots in the Heart of the Earth” is on display at the Halles de Nîmes until January 15, 2025.
