I have a wonderful life but I have some regrets. I lost the relationship with my children. I left [home] very young and I worked in hotels for fifty years. So they don't know me. For the moment, I don't think my children like me very much“, Jean-Claude Van Damme lamented, before adding: “when I started to succeed, I gave it my all, but they [his children] won't understand it. Even when I'm dead, they won't will not understand it.”

Jean-Claude Van Damme: “there is a little jealousy”

Jean-Claude Van Damme is the father of three children from two different marriages: Kristofer (37 years old) and Bianca (34 years old), born from his union with the bodybuilder Gladys Portugues, and Nicholas (29 years old), the fruit of his love with Darcy Lapier. Now remarried to Gladys Portugues, the 64-year-old actor revealed during the interview that his three children still live in the parental home and that they want to follow in their father's footsteps by becoming actors in turn.

Unfortunately, the results seem to be slow in coming for them. Enough to draw a sad conclusion for Jean-Claude Van Damme. “I told them we would be a movie family, but I was wrong“, regretted the actor on the set of the TF1 show. And to conclude: “my children admire me a lot but there is a little jealousy.”
