This Wednesday, December 18, the Association des familles (ADF) agency, already established in Grand-Combe since 1948, inaugurated its new premises, 4 Rue Salvador Allende, in Alès.
In the Grand-Combien region, the Association des Familles is a recognized institution. “We have been here since 1948“, explains its director Dominique Diago. The agency, which deals with Home Autonomy Services (SAD), carries out support and assistance and social life missions. But for several months, with the increase in patients in the city of Alès, the question arose of opening a new location, “closer, more visible“, comments the director.

This was done, this Wednesday, December 18, since 11 a.m., after a brief speech by the director. The latter rightly mentioned that “the associative world was a little adrift in France“, regretting moreover the reduction in the investment of “younger people“. That being said, he recalled the missions of the ADF, namely advice and assistance to people. “We hope that with these premises, residents will more easily realize that an agency is there to help them“, adds Dominique Diago.
For her part, the future director, Sylviane Blanc, “forty years within the agency“, they whisper at the inauguration, is satisfied with the premises. “They are bright, and above all very well located. The people of Alès will be able to come to us more easily.” Because the goal of these new premises is to offer local services. The Bassin already has the agency Filiéris, offering intensive home care services (SIAD). “It is planned by law that the SAD and SIAD services will merge around 2028. So, since we already work on the same ground as Filiéris, we will soon be working together within the same agency.”
Finally, Dominique Diago announced that he would be leaving his position in a few days, entrusting the new responsibilities of the Alès agency to Sylviane Blanc.
