All generations on stage

The final salute of the budding artists, applauded by the audience.

With the support of the State, the Region, the Department and the City, the associative structure Aimendo carries out its action La scene vector of integration in schools. Last week, within the Samuel-Paty primary school of Mas Roman, everyone was able to see how much this action can unite.

The intergenerational Aimendo choir, which rehearses at the André-Malraux center, came to mingle with the children of the theater and dance workshops to offer all the students of the school, their teachers and their parents, an animation of dance, song and theater. In a production where adults and children shared the roles, the emotion was at its peak when schoolchildren aged 6 to 11 recited Shakespeare or Molière. This sharing between generations touched the audience.

The event marked another success for Anthony Pougnard, director of the elementary school, and Chantal Maurin, president of Aimendo, who initiated a partnership last year, the latter confiding: “The number of beneficiaries of Wednesday theater activities has doubled. This is proof that the stage is a vector of integration. Only regret: children are on the waiting list.”
