Depuis le 4 décembre, Alès profite des illuminations de Noël dans les rues de son centre-ville. Une balade bien connue, mais toujours féérique.
Arches of gold and silver, posts carrying multi-coloured carpets… Without forgetting, of course, the large 12-metre high fir tree on Boulevard Louis-Blanc. Made up, as is the Alès tradition, of 133 small fir trees “from agroforestry”, specifies the town hall.

This year again, Alès celebrated Christmas with the traditional street illuminations. Lights that, in quantity, differ little from previous years. Due to budgetary constraints, both in terms of equipment and electricity consumption, the City has chosen to concentrate on its existing works, with, no doubt, the regret of not being able to do a little more in the outlying districts.

That said, the aim was to attract as many people as possible to the heart of Alès. Both to avoid moving in vain to contemplate the lights, but also, some hope, to stop in the cafés, restaurants and independent shops.
Whatever the reason for the trip, the images justify, here, the pleasure of a certain wandering.
