Located in the heart of the Lamalou-les-Bains spa resort, the Lamalou Immobilier agency celebrated its
40th anniversary in December. Its managers, Laurent Jeannin and Richard Moerland, are celebrating their tenth anniversary at the helm of the organization this month.
Founded in 1984 by Béatrice Augé and Gérard Andorno, Lamalou Immobilier was built on the values of listening and proximity. Under the leadership of Laurent Jeannin and Richard Moerland, since 2015, it has been able to adapt to market changes while preserving its local roots.
“Buying Lamalou Immobilier was a real challenge but also a great opportunity for external growth”, confides Laurent, who also runs the Comptoir de l’Immobilier and the Agence Calvet in Béziers. For the agency’s 40th anniversary, the two managers organized an evening, during which more than 200 people – most of them clients – attended.
A turnover multiplied by two
“We are still surprised by this enthusiasm, we are delighted! And we are off for ten more years!”, he adds enthusiastically. Since the acquisition, Lamalou Immobilier has doubled its turnover, while retaining the agency's historical DNA.
Today, it has fifteen employees specializing in transactions, rental management, property management and seasonal rentals. Laurent Jeannin and Richard Moerland's strategy is based on the complementarity of their skills.

“I am more of a manager and “transactionalist”, while Richard excels in business management. Thanks to our duo and the remarkable involvement of our teams, we have managed to stay the course and progress, in an often difficult general context”.
Lamalou Immobilier is also a local economic driver. The agency collaborates with a network of more than a hundred partners – craftsmen, developers, notaries, diagnosticians, etc. – to promote the Grand Orb region and create a virtuous economic circle. It works closely with local institutions, with which it supports the development of large-scale projects, such as the construction of the new Lidl in Lamalou-les-Bains.
Promoting the hinterland
In a territory often overshadowed by its proximity to the sea, Laurent Jeannin campaigns to promote the hinterland: “Lamalou-les-Bains is a jewel, between green tourism and residential attractiveness. We must capitalize on these assets to strengthen the local economy”. In this respect, Lamalou Immobilier plays a key role in the attractiveness of the city by meeting the needs of spa guests and attracting investors.
