“The continued rise in cases of influenza, Covid-19 and bronchiolitis and more broadly respiratory viruses (RSV) is leading to a significant increase in the number of people using emergency departments nationally and in Occitanie”, notes the Nîmes University Hospital, which emphasizes the idea that “this epidemic situation, combined with the resumption of all scheduled activities after the school holidays, is also causing very significant tensions on reception capacities, particularly in emergency departments medicine”.

In the event of a medical need, it is recommended to call your doctor as a priority. If the latter is not available, it is advisable to consult the map of treatment locations. If no offer is available or in the event of a life-threatening emergency, it is imperative to call 15 before going to the emergency room.”
