Après la destruction de véhicules et de mobiliers urbains, dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi 9 janvier, sur un parking de la ville de Valras-Plage, son maire, Daniel ballester ne cache pas sa colère.

“During the night of Wednesday to Thursday, January 9, in the Charles Thomas parking lot, unacceptable acts of vandalism were committed. Several vehicles and garbage containers were set on fire, leaving residents unable to get to work”, says the mayor of Valras, Daniel Ballester. “We strongly condemn this gratuitous damage that demonstrates unbearable idleness and stupidity. While so many people fight every day to build and move forward, others destroy for no reason.”

Everything is being done to find the perpetrators

Two vehicles were completely destroyed by the flames. Others were more or less damaged and street furniture was also destroyed. The rapid intervention of the firefighters prevented any spread to other cars parked near those that were destroyed. Since Thursday, everything has been done to identify the perpetrators of this damage. All the city's video surveillance images have been seized to catch the perpetrators.
