Drivers and controllers on the Béziers-Neussargues line, who were on strike for three days, returned to work on Thursday, January 9. They were protesting, among other things, the cancellation of trains on this line due to a lack of staff. After tough negotiations with their management, they were heard: “We were asking for two additional drivers and two controllers,” explains Olivier Falzon for the CGT Cheminots. We obtained two driver positions and one controller position. There should no longer be any trains cancelled due to a lack of staff. This will no longer be an excuse since the workforce will be in place. But it is regrettable to have had to strike to ensure that public service is provided.”
