The Gard bakery wins the TV competition
#GARD The Au paradis des Gourmands bakery in Garons won the week dedicated to Occitania, as part of the M6 TV show La meilleure boulangerie de France.
During the filming that began last July, the entire team got down to developing the recipes that would be proposed and presented for the show by Thibaut Combe and Guillaume Mahoudeau.
This Thursday, January 9, after long months of waiting, they imposed themselves hands down. Corn bread, pavlova with thyme and black olives, Nîmes sandwich with breaded Nîmes brandade… So many successes that allowed them to collect an exceptional average of 9.3 out of 10.
Four boats set on fire
#CARNON A major boat fire broke out around 2 o'clock Saturday morning in the port of Carnon. Despite the deployment of rescue forces, two of the four burned boats sank.
As a precaution, about ten local residents were temporarily evacuated. For the time being, the origin of this fire is unknown.
To prevent oil pollution, the area was secured by divers and a floating barrier was installed by a team specializing in chemical risks.
He rushes to the market
#AVEYRON The events took place this Saturday, January 11, at the Capdenac-Gare market at around 7 a.m. A vehicle hit the market, injuring two people aged 22. The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital in relative emergencies.
The driver of the vehicle, a young man in his twenties, was slightly injured, as was his 20-year-old passenger. According to Centre Presse, the driver “was apparently” under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the vehicle is said to have caused the collision “intentionally” due to a “torque dispute”, the Aveyron gendarmerie told our colleagues at Centre Presse.
Expo Lego® continues this Sunday, January 12
#GARD The eleventh edition of Expo Lego® continues this Sunday at the Saint-Privat-des-Vieux sports hall. The theme chosen this year: dinosaurs had already won over the crowd yesterday afternoon. A source of satisfaction for Gilles Roux, the president of Arfobrick, which organizes this event.
Around fifty exhibitors share their passion. Ionis Sigalas, a 45-year-old from Var, is one of them. He presents his universe based on Ninjago, “quite popular with children because the animated series has been running for a long time” . Among the official structures of the brand, “modified to embellish them”, he created “a temple” and, with a thousand pieces, “a torii inspired by a traditional gate that actually exists in Japan”.
His work, begun in 2028, is in perpetual evolution. Between 40,000 and 50,000 pieces compose it. Like many enthusiasts, Ionis Sigalas played with small bricks as a child before returning to this world as an adult.
The exhibition is still open today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (price: €4).
