According to the synopsis proposed by the Rotten Tomatoes website:
After climate scientist Jack Hall is largely ignored by UN officials when he voices his environmental concerns, his research proves accurate when a superstorm hits, triggering natural disasters around the world. Jack and his team must trek from Philadelphia, braving the elements, to reach his son Sam, who is trapped in New York City with his friend Laura and others, before it's too late.
This thriller is extremely effective. It also benefits from its excellent cast: Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sela Ward, Ian Holm, and Emmy Rossum.
The Three Brothers (TFX, 9:05 p.m.)
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000
Three men discover by pure chance that they are half-brothers and they inherit 3 million at the same time. Unfortunately, the celebrations do not last. Indeed, barely ten days later, the money is embezzled. This is the beginning of the troubles for these three protagonists (to the great delight of the spectators).
You have to see this gem that brings together the trio of Inconnus at the top of their game.
The Count of Monte Cristo (Canal+, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the official Pathé synopsis:
Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of imprisonment in the Château d'If, he manages to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
Canal+ is showing this excellent adaptation released in 2024 for the first time. We want more as this gem pays such a beautiful tribute to the work of Alexandre Dumas.
That's all for this week.
