Her colleague Aurélie De Conchy, AESH in secondary education, in Marvejols, agrees: “The recognition of parents and our fellow teachers. We lack the status.”

“One AESH for eight or ten students”

The reimbursement of mileage expenses, while AESHs are regularly required to travel from one establishment to another. “Since the beginning of the year, they have not been paid, protests Yaël Evrard. We often have to choose between putting in gas or filling the fridge.”

This demonstration also had a strong symbolic value, since the inclusive school will celebrate its twentieth anniversary on February 11. “We have a lack of human resources, continues the union representative. Not all needs are covered. In Lozère, we have situations with one AESH for eight or ten students.”
