A strict diet

Following an extremely strict diet, consisting exclusively of bowls of vegetables, fruit puddings and nuts, this routine sometimes weighs on his morale. “The saddest moment of my day is the last bite”, he confides in the Netflix documentary Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants To Live Forever, relayed by Big Data.

Bryan Johnson has also tested rapamycin, an anti-cancer drug that is supposed to have anti-aging effects. The treatment, taken for several years, has shown worrying side effects, such as skin infections, high blood sugar, and increased heart rate.

“We suspected that this drug was making the signs of aging worse,”, he admits. That's why he decided to abandon rapamycin and is considering stopping the treatment altogether.

Eternal youth, but at what cost?

Meanwhile, Bryan Johnson continues to explore unconventional methods to regain his youth. He performs blood transfusions using his son’s blood and uses Botox.

Despite the criticism, he says he feels a sense of freedom: “I found immense relief in elevating my body and calming my mind.”.

While these treatments require heavy financial sacrifices, his diet and the medical risks he takes also raise questions about balance between longevity and quality of life.
