Tom Albart creates the first local studio dedicated to content creation

Âgé d’à peine 23 ans, Tom Albart offre une nouvelle dimension à sa microentreprise. MLG

A stone's throw from Avenue Jean-Jaurès, a professional space for recording podcasts or taking photos.

It's a place that doesn't exist in Nîmes, barely present in Montpellier or other large French cities. A place dedicated to the creation of content, both in the fields of photography and podcasting. Simple Studio opened its doors on January 18, in a small street a stone's throw from Avenue Jean-Jaurès.

Three-meter high ceilings, industrial atmosphere, cozy lounge or refined decor with raw wood parquet:“When I stumbled upon this 100 square meter space, I fell in love with it,” confided Tom Albart, a 23-year-old photographer. Until then, he had been working in a small studio in his home near Cardet, but he was looking to expand in order to develop. “With this modern and versatile space, I will be able to support local creators and entrepreneurs in their projects.”

A self-taught product photographer

Simple Studio is indeed open to everyone: photographers looking to “shoot” models (a makeup table is available) or objects, companies or individuals wishing to record a podcast, municipal officials wishing to keep their exchanges with residents….“I can film with professional equipment (4K cameras, LED lighting, adding colors for a brand, studio flash, etc.); edit,” continues the young man, a self-taught artist who, after a year in a design degree in Nîmes, launched his own micro-enterprise in 2021. “I photograph products that are sent to me, for online stores: cosmetics, food supplements, cushions, headboards, mattresses, etc. I imagine a composition by recreating decors on vinyl, adding accessories. At first, it wasn't easy to make contacts. Working well allows you to expand your network. 70% of my clients came by word of mouth.”
Today, with Simple studio, Tom Albart is moving up a gear. With a smile and overflowing enthusiasm: “Here, it's something simple. We don't worry about it… and that's it.”
