Airlifted to the CHU with hypothermia
A few moments later, the municipal police of Lunel came to lend a hand, in particular by throwing a rope to hoist her out of the water. Once she was safe, they gave her first aid before the Marsillargues firefighters arrived.
In a state of hypothermia, the forty-year-old was taken care of by helicopter and quickly transported to the Montpellier CHU.
“We have a high-quality municipal police force that honors our community”, reacted the mayor of Marsillargues. “The officer who jumped into the water did not hesitate to put himself in danger to save this woman. Not to mention the municipal police of Lunel who, thanks to good coordination, ensured a happy outcome.”
