The Villeveyracois was driving the wrong way on Saturday 25 January around 10pm in the streets of Sète, armed and in possession of drugs.

It all started when the driver, a 28-year-old Villeveyracois, was driving the wrong way on Boulevard Camille-Blanc. When he saw the police officers who were about to stop him, he refused to comply and fled towards the Pont-Levis district.
Injured while climbing a fence
Finally, the suspect was able to be intercepted in the Perregaux impasse while he was trying to flee on foot. Seriously injured in the hands while trying to climb a fence, he was taken into custody at the Montpellier University Hospital where he was able to undergo surgery.
The search of the car revealed drugs (cocaine, crack, cannabis resin, grass). But also a long weapon, as well as two telephones, and cash. A sort of accounting had also been seized.
Positive for narcotics
According to our information, the accused admitted to the facts (refusal to comply and possession of drugs). Tests carried out that same evening revealed that the driver was positive for narcotics, but the detailed results of the samples are still pending.
Tried next March
The man was brought before the public prosecutor on Monday, January 27. While awaiting his trial scheduled for next March, the Villeveyracois was imprisoned.
