#P-O –Last Thursday, at the large barrier of the Boulou toll on the A9, customs officers from Perthus checked a heavy goods vehicle tractor from Spain with the driver and a passenger on board, both of Italian nationality. The inspection of the cabin allowed the officers to discover five moving boxes, barely hidden under the bunks, containing several packages for a total weight of no less than 165 kg of cocaine. Placed in customs detention, the two accused were handed over to the services of the Perpignan anti-narcotics office branch. Then they were tried this Monday before the city court. Highlighting the implausibility of the story of the two accomplices, the prosecutor requested a five-year prison sentence for each. This will be the sentence handed down, accompanied by a ten-year ban from French territory and a customs fine of €8.25 million!

Preparatory classes: Lycée Henri-VI attracts
#BÉZIERS – It was a challenge: in 2013, Lycée Henri-IV in Béziers welcomed 18 students in the first year (hypokhâgne) of the higher education stream: a preparatory class for the grandes écoles, “a general preparatory class, literary, social sciences and maths”, explains its coordinator, Ludovic Garcia. The following year, the school opened the second year: khâgne. As a reminder, this “prep” prepares students for the entrance exams to many schools: ENS, HEC, Essec, Sciences Po… In September 2024, eleven years later, 37 students have joined hypokhâgne and 31 khâgne. In the 2025 ranking of L’étudiant, the CPGE BL béterreroise obtained 8th place in the “all competitions” category, out of 32 classes in France.
