The 2025 Model Y sports a subtly reworked but immediately recognizable silhouette. Now devoid of the Tesla logo, the front face adopts a more minimalist and modern lighting signature inspired by the Cybertruck and Cybercab. Symbol of this change in philosophy: the integration of a long LED bar crossing above the new, more tapered headlights.

The rear is also immediately recognizable thanks to its 1.6-meter light strip(the largest on a vehicle of this size) incorporating external reflection lighting technology that shines a spotlight on the TESLA logo instead of the good old logo. The dimensions change slightly with a 39 mm lengthening and a 4 mm widening, while the ground clearance gains 5 mm.

A new hood, a more pronounced spoiler, a revised and corrected diffuser as well as redesigned mirrors complete the list of many aesthetic changes to the Model Y (2025). All of these adjustments aim to improve the aerodynamics of the vehicle, which, in addition to sporting a much more modern silhouette, also improves its performance on the road.

The new lines of the Model Y (2025) also aim to improve its performance on the road as well as its autonomy. Consumption drops from 16.9 to 15.3 kWh/100 km, allowing a WLTP autonomy of 568 km compared to 533 km previously.

Pure performance also takes a leap forward: the Long Range All-Wheel Drive version (the only model offered in France to date) now goes from to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds compared to 5 seconds for the Model Y (2021).

For information, in China, the Propulsion model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, one second less than its previous generation equivalent. All this without touching the engines.

Like the Improved Model 3, the Restyled Model Y features a completely redesigned interior. The engineers first worked on the acoustics, the main criticism of users of the old generation. Thus, Tesla announces an impressive reduction in noise pollution: -22% for rolling noise, -20% for impact noise and -20% for aerodynamic noise.

The equipment is also enriched with the arrival of ventilated front seats and a motorized rear bench seat. The audio system has been redesigned with speakers hidden in the front doors while the air conditioning is more discreet and more efficient.

Connectivity also takes a leap forward with tripled Wi-Fi performance and an improvement in the cellular network (+50% in download speed).

Above all, Tesla has worked on the finishes of the Model Y (2025). The materials used inside the vehicle are much more premium. A felt runs across the entire dashboard, an LED strip illuminates the entire vehicle and the plastics, better designed, are more solid. The central screen is also flatter which gives even more the impression that it floats in the middle of the passenger compartment. The small chrome touches around the steering wheel buttons and storage spaces make a good impression.

Finally, like the Improved Model 3, the Restyled Model Y has a second screen in the back. With a diagonal of 8 inches, it allows passengers to access different settings as well as entertainment services (Netflix, Youtube, Twitch, games, etc.). It can operate independently of the central screen. However, parents can regain control on the rear screen in case the children abuse cartoons a little too much during long journeys.
