This is the end of an adventure that was very much appreciated. A few days ago, Marine won the new season of the Star Academy , succeeding Pierre Garnier.After an evening full of emotions, the young woman lifted the trophy against a formidable candidate, Ebony. The two friends will dazzle viewers over the weeks thanks to their respective talents. In the columns of Parisien, Ebony looked back on her career, notably mentioning what's next. Although she is the daughter of Thierry Cham, a renowned zouk artist, the young woman assures that she wants to fly on her own. “I will turn to him if I need advice. But I will follow my own path”, she affirmed.
During this adventure, Ebony has not been nominated once. The young woman has lived weeks rich in emotions and she openly affirms it. “I'm fine. I just had an emotional and intense weekend. Things happened very quickly, between Saturday's prime time and the first interviews,” she confided before continuing: “I saw my loved ones again, I went out with my family. I'm very close to them, I missed them all a lot. How good it is to find them again!”. A very valuable support for her.

During this adventure, Ebony's skin color was much talked about. Within the castle, the young woman was protected from the criticism she was subjected to, but she discovered everything when she left. “Today, I want to stay focused on my art and it's not a subject. My skin color should not be a subject of debate on this show,” she said. Coming to make her dream come true, Ebony regrets that her origins have taken precedence over the real reason for her presence in the program.
Ebony proclaims it loud and clear: “Star Academy, it's just a singing competition, an entertainment show, there's nothing political in it. Today, I'm moving on from that”. The message she wants to convey ? Always believe in your dreams and never pay attention to criticism. “It is important that all little girls of all backgrounds or skin colors rise above criticism,” she said before continuing: “Everyone needs to accept each other's differences. Differences should not divide, on the contrary”.
Ebony: a candidate torn between disappointment and pride
Ebony did not win this season and although she admits to being a little surprised by this result, she is nevertheless delighted with her journey. “Making it to the finals is already a huge gift”, she said. Like all her teammates, her goal was to reach the tour and then aim as far as possible. However, music is more important than victory and Ebony intends to take advantage of the advice and classes to devote herself to her passion. “I just want to achieve my goals. You have to do your best to “write good songs that the public listens to ”, she concluded, eager to reveal everything to her public.
