President Emmanuel Macron responded to the investigation conducted by Radio France and Le Monde on February 4, 2025.
French President Emmanuel Macron assured Tuesday that there had been neither “agreement” nor “collusion” with Nestlé while media outlets claim in an investigation that the Elysée and the services of the then Prime Minister allowed the group to market water that did not comply with regulations and posed a risk to health.
“No collusion with anyone “I am not aware of these things. There is no agreement with anyone, there is no collusion with anyone,” Emmanuel Macron told reporters. In early 2024, targeted by initial revelations, Nestlé Waters, a subsidiary of the Swiss agri-food giant, admitted to having used prohibited microfiltration systems to maintain the “food safety” of its mineral waters.
