The Bobigny prosecutor's office confirmed the information on Wednesday. “The victim was hit by several individuals and is hospitalized, in an artificial coma. Two people are currently in police custody as part of an investigation entrusted to the security forces”, the magistrate said.

Life in danger

The injured teenager was transferred to Necker Hospital (Paris XVe) with a life in danger. When they arrived, the firefighters discovered this 3rd year middle school student “covered in bruises on the head and all over his body”.

According to several concordant sources, the attack took place near the middle school, on avenue Salvador-Allende, and not in the establishment. “He was leaving the middle school” when the group targeted him. A supervisor reportedly intervened, putting the attackers to flight.

The shock is great within the educational community of this college of 600 students, informed Tuesday evening by an email from the principal referring to “a serious event” and a “strong emotion”. Support has been provided by the academic services.

Support set up

The Créteil rectorate confirms that“as of this Wednesday morning, support has been set up“, while specifying that the events took place “outside school hours and outside the college”.

Mobile security teams (EMS) were sent to the site with the mission “to ensure the safety of students but also to offer a listening ear”.
