Little After 9 a.m., a 57-year-old carpenter, head of a company, was replacing the shutters of a house located on rue Laval, a residential street parallel to the Quai de Seine.

“The victim had climbed to a height of about 5 m to tear off one of the shutters to be replaced when he lost his balance”, summarizes a police source. A fall that caused him a head trauma, and despite the efforts of the Samu doctors to resuscitate him, the man died on the spot.

Another accident a few hours earlier

A few hours later, another work accident occurred on a construction site on rue de la Porte d’en Bas, in Bagneux. Shortly after 3:30 p.m., “the two workers were partially buried by the earth that they were digging deep”.

Fortunately, only their lower limbs were buried, but “enough in any case for the two men to find themselves literally trapped”. According to our colleagues, the workers, aged 47 and 45, were taken to the private hospital in Antony.
