“It's great”, enthused the coach-president-sporting director of Saint-Brieuc Guillaume Allanou on France 3, where the draw was taking place, at the hands of tennis player Richard Gasquet. “Receiving the biggest French club of the last 10-15 years is extraordinary, he added. We will obviously not play it in our small stadium, it's impossible, but we will knock on the door of our Breton neighbors to see who can host us.”

Brest (L1) is happy to have escaped Paris Saint-Germain, who it will meet on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions League play-off, and will host Dunkerque (L2). “I'm happy to play at home,” praised Brest coach Eric Roy on France 3.

Parisian coach Luis Enrique is also satisfied. He explained on Thursday afternoon that he did not want to draw Brest. “No no, every time I play against (them), I have a lot of work. So I hope we'll draw another team”, said the Spanish technician.

Last round of 16 this Thursday evening

AS Cannes (N2) will host Guingamp (L2), who had already eliminated them the last time the Côte de France club played a quarter-final in 2014. En Avant won 2-0 before going on to win the trophy.

Finally, Angers (L1) will face the winner of the last 8th final, Bourgoin-Jallieu (N3)-Reims (L1), scheduled for Thursday evening. At home if it is against the Champagne club; in Bourgoin if the N3 club wins, and steals the honorary title of Petit Poucet from Saint-Brieuc.
