A 62-year-old British skier died on Tuesday after colliding with another skier in the Savoyard resort of Les Arcs, according to concordant sources.

At around 10:30 a.m., she was descending the black “well-groomed” piste of the Aiguille rouge (Arc 2000) when she lost control of her skis, said Philippe Janin, director of slope safety, confirming information from radio ici Pays de Savoie (ex-France Bleu).

She entered collided with a 35-year-old man stopped on a bump below the slope, then died shortly after during the intervention of the emergency services, he specified. Both were wearing helmets and the man suffered a fractured leg, he added.
