Located at 40, rue Paul-Valéry, the workshop-boutique La Boussole à Facettes exhibits the work of 16 local creators. And the least we can say is that there is something for all tastes and budgets: ceramic tielle dish by Terre Singulière (at the origin of this boutique created in the summer of 2023), handmade paper notebooks by Graphite Conception, natural stone jewelry by Perlami, crochet creations by Ô fil enchanté for toddlers, or even handmade soaps by Île Segal. Canned fish
The preserves of Mas Henri should be a hit with gourmets and especially seafood lovers. Rock octopus in macaronade, red tuna belly in olive oil, mullet rillettes, rock fish soup, etc.: there is something to enjoy as an aperitif or for a gourmet meal. A professional fisherman in the Mediterranean Sea and then on the Thau lagoon, Kévin Henri launched a range of canned goods with his wife Jade, showcasing their products. Price: from €7.90, on sale at the farmhouse, rue des Cormorans.

Amaï creations
For two months, Sylvain Raillard and Thomas Pérea have taken over the Amaï brand, created in 2019 by their friend Joan Perégo. Involved in the adventure from the beginning – the first for communication, the second for graphics via his company Cactus Éditions – the two friends suggested to the creator, overwhelmed by his professional activity, to continue to carry the torch of the Amaï style. That is “expressions or elements from Sète with a funny drawing”, they say in unison. They have already created a hat, five t-shirts and an apron. Which are already a great success. Price: from €15 to €25, at Pompon & tricotin, Comptoir du Sud, Instagram and Facebook.

Spirit lovers should find what they are looking for with this vodka, created by eight friends from Sète and made from wheat but also… oysters and samphire. A local connotation for this alcohol created in November 2021 around a glass of friendship and then designed in the Spirits Valley of Cognac, where one of the partners works. In 2024, Seahorse vodka (in reference to the seahorse, treasure of the Thau lagoon) was produced in more than 1,000 copies. Price: €39, on sale in particular at Maison Janicot.

A knife with local inspiration
It is in homage to the unique island and more particularly to jousting that Gérard, the buyer of Coutellerie Sète, created, a few years ago, the design of this knife, then manufactured in Thiers where it originates. In the shape of a boat (with the tintaine of course), the blade is also decorated with a shield. A beautiful object intended for both collectors and lovers of beautiful blades. Price: €89, on sale at the cutlery, 5, rue Paul-Valéry.

Le Grand livre des joutes
Fifty years of Saint-Louis and regional tournaments, portraits of former jousters, unusual engravings, a panoramic plate detailing the name of each participant in the official Saint-Louis procession: this is what the reader will find in this splendid commemorative portfolio entitled The Grand Livres des Joutes, from 1900 to 1951. In 1960, shortly after the death of Vincent Cianni, Clémenceau Terme, chief usher of the town hall of Sète, offered Nicolas Cianni, his son, his sublime personal registers. They were later bequeathed to the grandson Jean-Louis Cianni who surrounded himself with Jacky Vilacèque and Jean-Renaud Cuaz to set up this beautiful project. Price: €30, on sale at L’échappée belle and the Nouvelle librairie sétoise.

The board game dedicated to jousting
Winning a jousting tournament from your couch: this is the slightly crazy idea that germinated in the minds of six friends from Sète who launched a card game dedicated to jousting. How it works? The 17 societies are each represented by six jousters who are ranked from level 1 (the weakest) to level 6. At the time of the pass, this ranking is added to the number given by the die (blue or red) as well as bonus points. To win the tournament, you must win three passes against your opponent, taking into account of course any penalties or decisions of the jury. Price: €25, on sale at helloasso.com/associations/societe-setoise-du-jeu-de-societe.

Petitcopek's latest EP
Last November, rapper Petitcopek from Sète released his EP Côté passager volume 2 on CD, vinyl (co-produced by Chichois Production) and on listening platforms. A more “personal album” than the previous ones with which the artist confided having wanted “to test new things”. From a musical point of view first with bossa-nova rhythms and very sunny, danceable sounds. But also on the side of the lyrics by drawing on the intimacy of relationships and feelings of love. An ideal gift for all fans of the rapper but also to warm hearts in the middle of winter. The CD (€10) and the vinyl (€20) are on sale on the website cotepassagervol2.bigcartel.com.
