Oncogard, located within the Gard Cancer Institute (ICG), is one of the first establishments in the region to use this new technology in radiotherapy. Vision RT uses 3D cameras to continuously monitor the patient's position during radiotherapy, ensuring that the radiation beam accurately targets the tumor while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.

The slightest movement of the patient is captured, allowing the operators to adjust the treatment in real time. If the patient coughs or moves very slightly, Vision RT detects it immediately. The system can then automatically stop the emission of radiation to protect healthy organs from accidental irradiation.

Left breast cancers

This cutting-edge technology combines three 3D cameras positioned around the treatment area, coupled with software that analyzes the reconstructed 3D image and compares it in real time to the reference image obtained during the initial scan.

Vision RT provides a real advance in the treatment of left breast cancers, a complex case due to its proximity to the heart.
