While she wishes to preserve her little boy's anonymity, the actress never fails to talk about how his arrival changed her life. On Monday, December 30, 2024, it was in the columns of Télé pocket that she revealed that her son had not seen The Count of Monte-Cristo, and for good reason, he is too young. “He is six years old and he is afraid of everything, even cartoons, she assured.

In all transparency, the actress indicated: “He is very sensitive. But he comes regularly to my shoots, his dad sometimes accompanies him. He knows my job, but for him, it's a job like any other”. Asked about the kind of mother she was, Julie de Bona, who did not reveal the identity of her husband, slipped : “Worried, playful, protective… a little too much. I have to let him grow up so that he has confidence in himself. It's really a tug sometimes because I want to protect him”.

In 2020, in the columns of Télé-Loisirs, Julie de Bona had émentioned the birth of her son. “It's a tsunami that hits you in the face! But it was my mission: to see if it was possible to get baby on board this life of madness and filming. And it is, thanks to my husband, my mother and my sister, she had confided with gratitude.

She also relied on the advice of a friend. “I also followed the advice of my 'professional mom', Michèle Bernier. I often call her to ask her how she did it with her two children, to whom I am very close, especially Charlotte”, she had indicated before adding: “For me, managing to combine professional and family life is a huge pressure and a mountain to climb”.

Julie de Bona's confidences on her childbirth

Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the first issue of Animal Instinct, the actress had made some surprising confidences about her arrival at motherhood. At first, I said: 'Ah no, I'm not giving birth'. My boyfriend laughed. He said: 'Yes, darling, we're going to have to give birth'”, she recalled before specifying that she was afraid of dying giving birth to her son. Finally, the actress assured having “loved” her delivery.

“I had to have a caesarean and my primitive instinct came out”, she remembered before specifying that she had screamed “no” in the delivery room. “I'm going to do that, I'm going to put myself in another position, anyway, this position sucks”, she exclaimed. So, the actress got down on her knees. “I was the one who took out my son. It was the great animal moment of my life. I felt: 'All women have done it', (…) I didn't ask myself any more questions. It's really the key to life”, she had specified.
