In 2025, the Greta-CFA of Millau is initiating major changes: moving to the Jean-Vigo high school, pooling resources and launching new training courses to meet the needs of the area.

A new year often means new projects. And the Millau agency of the group of establishments (Greta) has understood this well. In 2025, many changes are planned both on the training side, but also on the premises side.

The announcement was made this Thursday, January 23, in the organization's current premises, on Boulevard de l'Ayrolle. “We're going to move in six months,” says Davy Lagrange, operational director of Greta-CFA Midi-Pyrénées Nord. We work a lot with the Jean-Vigo high school, whose principal is the head of the Greta Millau branch. “Almost obviously, then, the premises of the school nestled on the heights of the city of glove will welcome trainees and staff of the training organization.

Are the premises suitable? ?

While many technical platforms present at the Jean-Vigo high school to train trainees are already used by Greta, and temporary workers and teachers from the school already work within the training organization, it made sense for everyone to come together. “It is a material and educational pooling”, summarizes the operational director. “An important sign of unity, adds Anne-Marie Mellier, ordering. It's good to have all these actors under the same roof.”

Are the premises of the Jean-Vigo high school ready to welcome all these wonderful people ? Especially since the establishment will begin a profound transformation in the second quarter of 2025 with major works. “Yes, assures Davy Lagrange. The administrative staff will move into premises provided for this purpose. As for the trainees, it will be a matter of integrating their workshop schedules into the establishment's Pronote software (an interface that allows you to draw up schedules by dedicating rooms, Editor's note).” Concerning the establishment's reception capacity ? “It's a challenge that is part of reality”, confirms Anne-Mellier, while remaining confident in everyone's ability to adapt.

While the issue of budget cuts continues to make noise, particularly when it comes to the budget allocated to education, the operational director confirms: “No training is threatened by possible restrictions”.

New training courses to meet local needs

Precisely, on the training side, the year 2025 also promises some new things. And Gaëlle Tarrusson, professional training advisor at Greta-CFA in Millau, has no shortage of ideas. Starting with a state diploma for educational and social support (AES). The organization will open this new 12-month training course in April. “There is a big need in rural areas, and this meets a local need, presents the councilor. We know that with the median hospital, home hospitalization will be more prioritized.”

Also in April, following a call for tenders from the skills operator (Opco), training to obtain a professional qualification certificate for medical assistants will be opened. “This particularly concerns people who are currently medical secretaries and want to improve their skills and assist the practitioner,” explains Gaëlle Tarrusson. The training lasts 12 months and concerns dentists, gynaecologists, general practitioners, etc. I have already had many requests.”

Last year, nearly 890 trainees were supported by the training organisation. On a daily basis, 17 so-called “permanent” staff members work to provide appropriate information, as well as around thirty temporary staff. “A valuable organization for our region,” says Laurence Callec, a professional training advisor. We have a real interest in Millau and South Aveyron.” A commitment that does not seem to waver in 2025.
