“When he brought back his ticket, he knew he had won and he remained unmoved”, says Bachir, one of the pillars of the PMU bar located in the shopping center of Tourcoing (North). The news nevertheless made the other customers of the establishment jump: a man won more than 108,000 euros in a first horse racing bet, followed by 12,000 euros in another prediction.

In total, on the same day of January 17, more than 120,000 euros were won by a single man, reports our colleagues at La Voix du Nord.

On site, the lucky winner is no stranger to the PMU. “He comes every day but he's a very discreet person”, admits Bachir. A former worker according to Bachir, the lucky guy didn't mention what he was going to do with his winnings. In any case, the latter is going to leave a share in the same establishment where he made “fortune”, since he comes back every day to play his horse racing ticket at 9 euros.

And if the northern PMU bar doesn't get any percentage of this winnings, the owner of the establishment hopes, for his part, that this event will bring him new customers and players!
