The restoration work will be carried out by craftsmen: the CHU has already identified the company Serres et Ferronnerie d’antan, renowned for its exceptional expertise in the restoration of 19th century greenhouses and winter gardens. The team, made up of around twenty companions, works with period materials.

The redevelopment of the surroundings of the greenhouse is also planned with the installation of furniture to host workshops.

The objective

With its dimensions, the restored greenhouse will be able to accommodate more than 90 m2 of cuttings, and constitute a place open to the city, at the service of patients and professionals.

The renovation of the greenhouse will allow the development of horticultural services intended for hospital patients, for therapeutic gardens in order to offer workshops.

The principle of this Trophy is to demonstrate that heritage can have direct repercussions on the daily lives of residents, the Foundation thus contributes to the rescue of sites and their reappropriation.

Since its creation, the Heritage Foundation has already awarded 36 Impact Trophies for a total endowment of 7 million euros.
