Huit équipes et une cinquantaine de joueurs se sont affrontés, ce vendredi 27 décembre 2024, lors de la Futsal Cup de Noël.

There was a friendly commotion this Friday, December 27, in the stands and on the field of the Piencourt gymnasium. For the first time, the Vivre à Fontanilles and Mende Turk Europe associations organized the Christmas Futsal Cup.

Eight teams and around fifty players had joined the famous Mende hall which, a few months ago, was still vibrating to the rhythm of the exploits of Mende Volley Lozère, a former resident of Ligue B.

A contested final

“We even have a team that came from La Canourgue, another from Langogne, rejoices Ersen Kara, one of the organizers of the tournament with his brother Edis and Roland Michel. We have groups of four, then a final phase and cups for the first three.”

In a good mood and fair play, this Christmas Futsal Cup was played from 7pm to 11pm. In a very tight and close final, the decision was made on penalties, after a score of one all. It was finally the team called Paris that won against FC Ibra. But that was not the main thing, as Ersen Kara recalls: “We did it just to have fun.” Mission accomplished.

Mende Turk Europe pulled out all the stops, on the sidelines of the Christmas Futsal Cup.
A real feast was set up for spectators and players alike. After the tournament, the latter were also invited to a snack offered by the association. A great evening that ended with a full stomach and in a friendly atmosphere.
