"A strengthened commitment and significant actions": the Young Economic Chamber (JCE) of Millau draws up its 2024 report

Between local commitment, concrete actions and development within the regional federation, the year 2024 was a significant year for the JCE of Millau.

Under the presidency of Malika Nicol, the Young Economic Chamber (JCE) of Millau closed a year 2024 “rich in events and actions”. “Alongside Nicolas Juarez, treasurer, Marie Agrinier, secretary, and Laura Malaval, Past President, the team managed to make an impression with ambitious projects, while consolidating its commitment to the local and regional community”, validates the association which aims “to strengthen ties with other local stakeholders and promote the values ​​of the Young Chamber”.

Among this year's flagship initiatives, two actions particularly stood out. First, the Sport Collect operation, aimed at collecting and reusing sports accessories: “A concrete action in favor of sustainability and solidarity, which has helped mobilize the community around waste reduction while facilitating access to sports equipment for young people”.

Then, the JCE of Millau organized an activity around the European elections, by animating a fresco on Europe at the Mission Locale de Millau. “This action has helped raise awareness among young people about European issues while promoting collective reflection on the importance of commitment citizen.”

Let us also recall the Back-to-School University of the Federation of Local JCEs of Occitanie, which brought together no fewer than 80 Occitan members in Millau for moments of exchange, training and reflection.

The members of the Millau JCE also took part in various regional events, such as those organized in Montpellier, Narbonne and Sète, but also in large-scale national events, such as those in La Roche-sur-Yon and Orléans. These participations reinforced the visibility of the Millau JCE. “The year 2024 was also marked by the presence of Millau within the regional office, thanks to Laura Malaval, elected regional president of the Federation of JCE of Occitanie. A great recognition for Millau, which demonstrates the involvement and commitment of its members at the regional level”.

New recruits

This year, the Millau JCE also welcomed three new recruits: Marine, Manon and Ambre. “Their boundless energy and innovative ideas will inject a breath of fresh air into the 2025 local office, alongside Malika Nicol, president for 2025, and Pauline. These new arrivals are fully invested in the life of the JCE, bringing new perspectives and a strengthened group dynamic.
