As new accusations of sexual assault have been revealed against Abbé Pierre, the association plans to discuss removing the mention of Abbé Pierre from its logo.
Emmaüs France is considering removing from the association's logo any mention of Abbé Pierre, its founder accused of several sexual assaults, indicates Cnews. This proposal will be examined at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for this Tuesday.

These events, which allegedly took place between the 1960s and 2000s, bring to thirty-three the total number of testimonies deemed credible since July 2024.
This report is the third produced at the request of Emmaüs International, Emmaüs France and the Abbé Pierre Foundation to shed full light on the actions of their founder.
Faced with these revelations, the French Bishops' Conference (CEF) responded by calling “any person attacked by Abbé Pierre to contact, if they wish, one of the Church's listening or support services or the service set up by Emmaüs, whose work it wishes to acknowledge truth”.
As early as September, the CEF had taken the exceptional decision to open the Church archives concerning Abbé Pierre, thereby lifting the usual seventy-five-year deadline. Its president, Mgr Éric de Moulins-Beaufort, announced on RMC on January 14 that he had “seized the justice system” to examine the possibility of an investigation into the priest, long a symbol of the defense of the most deprived. “With each cabinet report, we cross a threshold in the discovery of what he was able to do”, he declared, evoking “a kind of system that he seems to have built“.
