On July 17, 2024, La Croix revealed that seven women had testified against Abbé Pierre, alleging facts of sexual assault. Since then, new testimonies have been heard, including some victims who were minors at the time of the events. In the columns of the ParisienOn January 13, new revelations were made, concerning in particular threats that were allegedly made by Abbé Pierre. “He tells me that he is very powerful, that people love him, that we should never, never, speak of what has just happened at anyone, that one would not believe me, remembered an alleged victim.

According to the latter's statements, Abbé Pierre allegedly abused his notoriety to silence his alleged victims. “I would have big problems if I came to talk about it”, she continued. On the set of C à You, it was the journalist Adrian Jaouen who made similar remarks. The latter was able to speak with alleged victims and he confided that they had been warned. “They told him that it was like ça”, he said before continuing: “They told them that the Abbot Pierre is like çthat, he always does it”.

Abbé Pierre: a notoriety that protects him from accusations ?

Still according to the journalist, the majority of the presumed victims would have been in “vulnerable situations”at the time of the events. Thus, Abbot Pierre allegedly took advantage of their fragile state to make them suffer the worst things, while being sure and certain that they would not turn against him. An alleged victim mentioned events dating back to 2003. The latter claims that the priest kissed her during a trip to Italy. In the report, it is stated that she had spoken about these facts with her relatives, in vain. 

Abbé Pierre: these photos that were well hidden

Among the revelations concerning Abbé Pierre, there is also the fact that the latter had a polaroid to which he was very attached. According to several sources, he had the habit of taking photos of his alleged victims. Well-hidden images that were found in a drawer. “A victim said that after forcibly kissing her and touching her breasts at his home, Henri Grouès ordered her to pose in front of him”, we can read. The latter said she saw the photos and immediately thought she was not the only victim. In total, 57 alleged victims have been identified.
