There are quite a few French innovations at CES in Las Vegas. Recently, for example, we published an article on electric roller skates, developed by the French company AtmosGear. But, if you prefer skateboards, another French company, Sternboard, has thought of you. Also present at CES, it has in fact developed an extremely powerful and all-terrain electric skateboard, which is designed and manufactured in France.

Thanks to its robust design and extremely powerful motor, the Sternboard is suitable for almost any terrain. It can even be used on snow, since there is a version with a chain and two skis. The battery that powers the electric skateboard is located in a backpack that the user will have to carry (yes, there will still be room for things).

An electric skateboard capable of pulling a trailer

According to the Sternboard website, the electric skateboard is waterproof and has a range of 100 km. Regarding the legislation, the company explains: “The Sternboard is considered to be an EDPM (Engine de Déplacement Personnel Motorisé). The legislation is the same as for electric scooters.”As a result, the product is sold with a speed limit of 25 km/h.

Sternboard offers two versions of its electric skateboard. The 2,000 W version is made for people with a large frame (over 100 kg), those who live in the mountains, those who plan to use the trailer or those who want to use the snow version. In addition, the 2,000 W version is more suitable for thrill seekers. Otherwise, Sternboard offers a less powerful 1,000 W version that will suit most people.

As we mentioned in the video above, the Sternboard is marketed at around 3,000 euros.
