Ludi céramique : ” Je travaille en petite série et le geste n’est jamais le produit d’automatisme “. Camera obscura – STEPHANE BARBIER
Ludi Céramique exhibits its creations, unique and utilitarian pieces of light stoneware, at the Madadayo gallery, rue des Mourgues. The space is open Sunday, December 22, giving the opportunity to discover the drawings of gallery owner and visual artist Jean-François Soro.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Leaning against the walls of the Madadayo gallery, arranged on a fragile box of aged wood, the creations of the ceramist Ludivine Elisseieff, Ludi Céramique, are lined up.
Inevitably, with its pastel blue colors or subtle floral engravings, a piece of light stoneware catches the eye. But it is by touch, by running your finger over the imprecise curve of a cup or the uncertain roundness of a vase that the piece distinguishes itself from its sisters…
And then emerges the inspiration of the designer based in Cendras, working mainly with light sandstone, so fascinated by its softness and clarity.
I am looking for this balance between the beautiful and the singular for everyday pieces, explains Ludivine Elisseieff. I like the idea that people choose a piece for this poetic side. Everyone sees what they want and each piece has its own particularity, with a different line.”
Far from the manufactured product repeated on the chain, the creations of Ludi Céramique preserve their singularity through a gesture which, very aptly, has never entered into repetition.
“I work in small series and the gesture is never the product of automatism. So I am always discovering.”
Without sacrificing the quest for beauty and meaning, the inexpensive pieces claim their utilitarian aspect while forging attachment. A know-how that the craftsman, who graduated in 2013 from the ceramics school in Saint-Quentin-de-la-Poterie, also shares during initiations on Mondays in Cendras.
